Lakeesha Hope
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia with over 14 years of experience working in the mental health field. I also hold a Board Certification in Clinical Social Work. I have helped clients with an extensive array of concerns including depression, military support, grief and loss, relationship issues, anxiety, trauma as well as coaching them to achieve their goals. I offer clinical supervision for master’s level graduate social workers (LGSW) looking to complete their clinical hours.
I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples and families. Some of the approaches that I utilize are; cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal, psychodynamic and Christian based. I am equipped to provide tele-behavioral health services. I provide services at my office, at the client’s school, home or in the community.
My counseling style is supportive but firm. I believe that therapy is a personal time for you and your family and should be a time for growth and exploration. To achieve the goals that you will be setting for you and your family there will be some times that will be uncomfortable, but in the end it will be worth it. Seeing your moody adolescent smile again, your family enjoying their time together and the communication between you and your spouse improve is what Hope Counseling Services stands for.
I look forward to letting HOPE help you!
